Recommendations before surgery with admission

You must contact the Hospitalization Admissions Service (Taulí building, ground floor) on the day and at the time indicated by telephone or in the summons letter.

Recommendations: To ensure that the intervention is performed in the right conditions and to avoid complications, it is advisable to follow the recommendations below:

  • It is advisable that you come with you.
  • The tetanus vaccine should be given to you (bring your vaccination card).
  • It is a good idea to bring your personal hygiene items and slippers.
  • Take special care of your dental or hearing aids.

Silence

Silence and order benefit the admitted patients. Try to speak quietly and not make noise. Remember that television and radio can only be used with headphones.


Personal and valuable objects

The center cannot be held responsible for any valuables or money you bring. We recommend that you give them to your family or store them in the hospital safe. The nursing staff will tell you how to do it. When wearing dentures, goggles, etc. you need to be careful not to lose them as they are indispensable for your daily life.


Smoking habit

Due to health and the rules established by current legislation, smoking is not allowed in any area of ​​the Hospital.


Departure from the hospital

The doctor will inform you in advance of your discharge. The room must be left free at 11 noon, so that you can prepare for another patient. At the time of departure you will receive the Hospital Discharge Report.

Visiting hours

Visiting hours are from 9am at 21pm., except for some specific units. To guarantee security overnight, from 22pm. at 7am. the main access of the Taulí building will be closed and the entrance will be by Emergency. Please use this access in a restricted way to promote rest for other patients.

Two people per patient are allowed, except for Intensive Care. During the night, only one companion can remain with the patient. In Pediatrics a companion is planned for each child admitted 24 hours a day, except for Intensive Care and Neonatology.


Information on the patient's condition

It is reported daily, with the exception of Saturdays and holidays, and whenever there is a significant change in the patient's evolution. The Unit's support team where you are staying will tell you about the regular information hours. The information is confidential and will not be given over the phone.


Food

To ensure proper nutrition we urge you to eat only the foods prescribed by the doctor and served by the Hospital's kitchen. For hygiene reasons, do not store any food in the room. The hospital has a diet protocol to meet the different needs of patients.

If you need a special adaptation you can contact the dietetic service. The unit's nurse will contact you if you need. Relatives and visitors alike have a café and restaurant outside the building.


The voluntary donation

The needs of blood transfusion and organ transplants in our society are very important and there is no other way to get them unless by voluntary donation. Please inform your family and friends of the possibility of contributing to the treatment of large numbers of patients through donations.


Our center is accredited for organ transplantation. If you would like more complete information in this regard, you can talk to your doctor.

Religious attention in the Parc Taulí

Aware of the importance of the religious dimension for some people, the Consorci Corporació Sanitària Parc Taulí facilitates the exercise of this right. Thus, it guarantees the free access of the ministers of the different confessions without limitation of hours and whenever there is a request of the patient or of his relatives. Customer Service Services facilitate this exercise in coordination with the different confessions.
