The Parc Taulí Research and Innovation Institute (I3PT) and the Catalan Agency for Quality and Health Assessment (AQuAS) are participating in the European EcoQUIP + project. The aim of the project is, within a framework of innovation public procurement, to find solutions that increase efficiency, quality and environmental sustainability in hospitals.

Within the framework of this project, the Corporació Sanitària Parc Taulí (CSPT) will launch a tender in the first half of 2022 with the main objective of rethink the process of joint replacement and be able to improve patient outcomes. The CSPT is not alone in this path and has the support of other buyers interested in communicate to the market this need for innovation: Biodonostia Health Research Institute, Vall d'Hebrón Hospital in Barcelona, Hospital Clínic in Barcelona, Hospital Sant Joan de Deu, Hospital Universitario Santaros Klinikos in Vilnius (Lithuania) and Policlinico Sant ' Orsola-Malpighi de Bolgona (Italy).

In June 2021, the CSPT with the support of AQuAS published a prior information notice (PIN) in the Official Journal of the European Union, as well as the Public Procurement Platform of the Generalitat de Catalunya to notify this tender and initiate a period of survey and market consultation prior to the formal bidding process.

It is necessary to know the current state of the art, the development of products and services that are currently being produced, the ideas that arise from R & D & I projects and the opportunities for co-creation with suppliers that help to change progressively. to move from a “best fit” scenario to a tailored prosthesis scenario for each patient. Therefore, an open market consultation is initiated with potential suppliers.

Interested companies can complete the Answer Form before 3 September of 2021. The subsequent Market Consultation event will take place around October, once the market responses have been analyzed.
