In order to recognize the digital initiatives in health which add value, contribute to the sustainability of the system and improve the patient's quality of life, Medical Journal i mail Pharmaceutical, two leading media in the health sector, have convened the first edition of the E-nnova Health Award 2021.
At the awards ceremony held this Wednesday in Madrid, the media have announced the different projects and the different winning initiatives, including awarded the APPICS application of the project PICS-COVID19 de theParc Taulí University Hospital, developed by Translational Research Group on the Critically Ill - CIBERES ofParc Taulí Research and Innovation Institute (I3PT) in collaboration with the Department of Information Systems.
APPLICATIONS, winner in the Telesalud and E-Learning category, is a digital application for the characterization and monitoring of intensive post-treatment syndrome (PICS) in patients affected by COVID-19. APPICS has a telematic screening monitoring system to detect PICS and its evolution, as well as the evaluation of functional performance, physical sequelae, anxious and depressive emotional symptoms, post-traumatic stress, cognition and quality of life.
Sol Fernandez, a postdoctoral researcher in neuropsychology, who collaborates with the Translational Research Group on the Critically Ill - CIBERES of I3PT and with the team of Mental Health - CIBERSAM ofParc Taulí University Hospital, has collected the award on behalf of the entire medical, research and information systems team that have actively participated in the project.
According to the heads of E-nnova Health, these awards want to “promote the culture of digital transformation in the healthcare field, recognizing the work done by institutions, health administrations, professional organizations, employers and companies that focus their efforts on exploring new horizons in the world of Medicine and Pharmacy, and improve efficiency and quality of care ”.
