  • The CSIC publishes a ranking of the most influential Spanish scientists. Of the total of 100.000 researchers with a Google Scholar profile, three are from the Parc Taulí Research and Innovation Institute

 

The Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) has published the 2022 edition of the ranking of the most cited researchers in Spain, and has classified Xavier calvet, Cardoner Narcís i Francisco Epelde, all three researchers from the Parc Taulí Research and Innovation Institute (I3PT).

This ranking evaluates those scientists with a profile in the prestigious Google Scholar database, the most comprehensive in the world, and whose articles have had the most impact around the world. That is, it classifies all those researchers who have published impactful scientific studies and that other scientists have cited in their research.

The CSIC's list takes into account Spanish research staff working both in Spain and abroad, as well as international scientists researching at national centers and universities. For the current edition, according to the CSIC, the ranking has exceeded 100.000 Spanish researchers and, as a novelty, "this edition shows that 39% of the profiles correspond to scientists".

In position 633 there is Xavier calvet, leader of Inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease and Helicobacter pylori group, with 60 points in the H index and a total of 21.735 citations.

The coordinator of the research area of Mental Health and Neuroscienceand Head of Affective Disorders Cardoner Narcís, is ranked 3,002 in the list, with 44 points in the H index and 8,005 citations.

Francisco Epelde, group researcher Evaluation of healthcare services, is ranked at position 4.080 in the ranking, with 39 points in the H index and 10.827 citations.

Finally, members of the Translational Neurosciences Unit, Joint Unit of Mental Health of IXNUMXPT and the Institute of Neurosciences of Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) Antonio Armario (position XNUMX), Adolf Tobeña (XNUMX), Lydia Giménez (XNUMX) and Rafael Torrubia (XNUMX) also appear in the ranking.
