- This collaboration will grant access to a wide network of state-of-the-art infrastructures and experts to accelerate the translation of scientific knowledge into clinical practice.
The Parc Taulí Research and Innovation Institute (I3PT) has joined EATRIS (European Advanced Translational Research Infrastructure in Medicine), a European network that brings together 14 countries and more than 150 top-level academic centers to enhance translational research and develop new therapies and diagnostic tools that improve people's health
In Spain, the EATRIS node is coordinated by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII) and integrates 15 accredited institutes in translational research, selected for their scientific excellence, specialization, commitment to knowledge transfer, collaboration capacity and quality certifications.
As part of this network, I3PT will contribute its expertise to the biomarker platform, focusing on its development and validation for disease prevention, diagnosis, and prognosis; and to the advanced therapies platform, dedicated to research in cellular, genetic, and tissue therapies.
Moreover, being part of EATRIS will allow I3PT to access an extensive network of cutting-edge infrastructures and experts to accelerate the translation of scientific knowledge generated at the Institute into clinical practice, as well as the opportunity to forge synergies with other European research centers and participate in strategic international projects.
Joining EATRIS also involves a continuous process of reviewing and improving the institution's infrastructures and capacities. This ongoing evaluation ensures that member centers meet the highest standards of excellence in translational research, including the quality of their facilities and the effectiveness of their processes.
