
I3PT obtains ISO 56001:2024 certification for its excellence in innovation management

The Parc Taulí Research and Innovation Institute (I3PT) has obtained the international certification ISO 56001:2024, which recognizes excellence in innovation management.
With this recognition —which establishes the requirements for implementingr one integrated innovation management system in accordance with international standards—, the institute is positioned among the first healthcare research and innovation centers in the State certified with ISO 56001.
Leaders in innovation in the State for more than a decade
This certificate represents a new achievement in the institute's trajectory in innovation management. In 2014, I3PT already set a precedent by becoming the first health research center in the State to obtain UNE 166002 certification, which consolidated its commitment to innovation management.
"This means that for more than ten years, the I3PT has had consolidated experience in innovation management and a solid and mature management system, which has now allowed us to make an agile transition towards the international ISO standard", he highlighted. Martha Ariza, responsible for quality and knowledge management at I3PT. This certification, added Ariza, “not only endorses our ability to manage new inventions, but also ofidentify new areas of opportunity in a scientific environment of constant evolution".
Martin Leon, head of the institute's Innovation Unit, remarked that "this certificate provides recognition and credibility of our management system, demonstrating and reinforcing our commitment to innovation.” “It is a lever to promote new international collaborations in this area,” he concluded.
