End of a new edition of the GENES_IT support program 1080 608 I3PT communication

The Innovation Unit of the Parc Taulí Research and Innovation Institute (I3PT) has put an end to a new call for GENES_IT, the accompaniment program aimed at promote innovation in health, which in this edition has been addressed to the units associated with the ITEMAS platform, spread throughout the Spanish territory.

For three months, seven teams have actively participated in this program structured according to the guidelines of the Stanford BIODESIGN, a proven successful methodology and international benchmark for transforming clinical needs into innovative and sustainable solutions.

The program has combined group sessions and individualized tutorials, accompanying the teams in the first two key stages of the methodology: the identification and the inventionIn a first phase, participants worked to detect real needs within their own healthcare environments, selecting the most relevant ones and validating them with the main actors involved. Subsequently, they advanced in the design of solutions that respond to these needs, with the ultimate goal of leaving with an idea that generates a significant impact on the healthcare system and society.

GENES_IT has culminated with the (Demo Day, the closing ceremony where the participating teams presented their trajectory throughout the program. Virtual reality simulators, platforms, applications and tools that integrate artificial intelligence are some of the proposals resulting from this edition, already ready to consolidate and continue their development in other programs, such as the BRING_IT.

Demo Day also featured a round table entitled "Dare to move forward: Experiences from healthcare innovation projects", where professionals and entrepreneurs from the healthcare innovation ecosystem shared real experiences and shared reflections on three key elements of the path to innovation: the team, the value proposition, and the barriers and lessons learned.
