The University ofStanford i Elsevier have recently published the highlight World's Top 2% Scientists List 2025, an international ranking that annually identifies the most influential scientists in the world of 22 research fields and 174 subfields based on bibliometric data.
In this edition, four researchers from the Parc Taulí Research and Innovation Institute (I3PT) have been recognized for their cumulative impact throughout their career and/or for the impact of their publications in the last year (2024).
The selection criteria are based on factors such as the number of publications, the journals in which they have been published, the number of citations received and other indicators that reflect the quality and influence of scientific contributions. The methodology also takes into account self-citations and retracted works, thus ensuring a transparent and rigorous process throughout the evaluation. The final list includes more than 100.000 scientists and presents everyone who is in the top 2% or above in their subfield of specialization worldwide.
This ranking is highly valued within the academic community, and highlights the quality and academic impact of the research carried out at the Institute.
