BRING_IT concludes the sixth edition with six innovative projects born in Parc Taulí

- MonQAI, a platform with artificial intelligence to streamline clinical trials, was the winning project.
This Friday, Parc Taulí celebrated the closing ceremony of the sixth edition of BRING_IT, the innovation program organized by the Parc Taulí Research and Innovation Institute (I3PT) for promote and support innovation projects in health and biomedicineFor the second time, the edition has had a internal character and has relied exclusively on projects developed by professionals from Parc Taulí itself.
After months of preparation, training and maturation of the proposals, a total of six finalist projects have presented innovative solutions to address unmet clinical needs to the public. Despite the high level of all the initiatives, the jury awarded first prize to MonQAI, a digital platform aimed at hospitals, ethics and research committees with medicines and promoters, which uses artificial intelligence to streamline the clinical stages of clinical trialsThe solution facilitates access to the complexity of studies, reduces bottlenecks and contributes to better decision-making throughout the process.

“BRING_IT has been fundamental in structuring our project. We have gained a lot of time to develop a business proposal that, in other circumstances, would have taken us years to build,” highlighted Mariela Quesada, I3PT researcher and co-principal investigator of the winning project. Quesada leads MonQAI together with I3PT researcher Miquel Cruel, within the framework of a multidisciplinary team that also includes researcher María José Navarro and engineer Gerard Badia.
The second prize was for the project 3D fistulaThe two highest-valued projects will receive funding for specialized innovation consulting services, valued at 11.000 euros for the winning project and 5.000 euros for the second-place winner.
The event also included a roundtable about the health innovation ecosystem, moderated by the head of the I3PT Innovation Unit, Martín León, with the participation of Felip Miralles, executive director of health technologies at Eurecat; Anna Echegaray, Health and Social Manager of the Sectoral Solutions Department at Telefónica Empreses, and Roger Blanch, venture capital investor at BStartup – Banco Sabadell.

The initiatives that come out of BRING_IT are top-notch, very well-worked, and it is a pleasure to see how the work that is done has such a high potential for social and economic impact, both in the country and in Europe”, said Felip Miralles.
The day also included the presentation of a success story in innovation, by the researcher Jose Ibeas, winner of the fourth edition of the program, who shared his experience and the evolution of the project after his time at BRING_IT.
León has given a very positive assessment of the program's growth: “There is an increasing level of sophistication in projects, teams are larger, more multidisciplinary and more mature."The objective of the I3PT innovation programs is to help professionals detect a need and transform it into a solution in a structured way, with a solid result that can be presented to competitive calls and obtain funding."
Looking ahead to the coming months, The two awarded projects will begin a new phase of mentoring between January and June 2026., focused on the preparation of competitive aid calls, with the aim of continuing to advance in the development and consolidation of its innovative solutions.
