I3PT receives two million euros in competitive public funding to boost research and innovation in health

The Parc Taulí Research and Innovation Institute (I3PT) has obtained a total of 2 million euros in competitive financing public to develop eight health research and innovation projects, i five human resources scholarships, during the last period of 2025.
This funding comes from different state calls, including the programs of theStrategic Action in Health – Strategic Lines of Research in Health 2025 (AES-LEIS 2025) of the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII), theState Research Agency, and the PERIS calls of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
Within the framework of the program AES-LEIS 2025, the institute has obtained funding in the calls for proposals “R&D&I Projects in Health” and “Independent Clinical Research” for a total of six research projects, with a total of 922.071 Euros, 60.000 Euros in the "Intensification Contracts" call to free up a percentage of the working day for an I3PT researcher.

- Veronica Gálvez and Diego J. Palao. M-KET STudy: A multicenter randomized clinical trial exploring the switch from maintenance ECT to maintenance ketamine in patients with treatment-resistant depression.

- Assumpta Caixàs. Characterization of the functional connectome in Prader-Willi syndrome: integrating neuroimaging knowledge and artificial intelligence to evaluate the impact of physiological and therapeutic interventions.
Likewise, within the framework of the programs of theState Agency of Research, three I3PT researchers have been selected in the calls for proposals “Project de Generation de Knowledge 2024” and “Contracts postdoctoral fellows Ramon and Boxl 2024", with a total amount of 665.650 euros.
