RRI: responsible research and innovation
The I3PT, with its ethical and social commitment, is in line with the principles of the RRI and promotes in its institution an inclusive research and innovation, oriented to the society where its results are desired, ethical and necessary and a research and innovation that is done under the principle of economic and environmental sustainability.
What is RRI?
RRI és l’acrònim en anglès de Recerca i Innovació Responsables, que té com a objectiu assolir resultats sostenibles, èticament acceptables i socialment desitjables. Promou que tots els agents implicats o grups d’interès treballin conjuntament en el procés de recerca i innovació.
L’RRI contempla diferents agendas necessàries per aconseguir aquest propòsit:
- Citizen participation: en el procés de recerca i innovació hi han de participar tots els actors implicats, amb l’objectiu d’alinear els resultats amb els valors, les necessitats i les expectatives de la societat europea.
- Gender equality: incorporar la dimensió de gènere en totes les etapes de l’R+D+I per millorar la qualitat i l’impacte social dels resultats. Promoure equips amb equilibri de gènere en tots els nivells de l’estructura organitzativa de l’Institut i integrar aquesta perspectiva en la planificació de la recerca i la innovació.
- Science education: millorar el model educatiu per dotar la ciutadania de les competències i els coneixements necessaris que li permetin participar en la presa de decisions relacionades amb la recerca i la innovació, així com fomentar les vocacions científiques i incrementar el nombre d’investigadors.
- Ethics: tenir en compte la integritat de la recerca mitjançant la prevenció de pràctiques inacceptables, així com promoure la reflexió sobre la relació entre ciència i societat per garantir l’acceptació ètica dels avenços científics i tecnològics.
- Open access: promoure l’accés obert des de les primeres fases del treball científic per millorar la qualitat de la recerca, facilitar una innovació més ràpida, fomentar col·laboracions constructives i afavorir un diàleg productiu amb la societat civil.
- Governance: disposar d’una governança robusta i adaptable per respondre al caràcter dinàmic i impredictible de la recerca i la innovació, tot compartint la responsabilitat entre una àmplia diversitat d’actors i proporcionant instruments que fomentin aquesta responsabilitat compartida.
