Artificial Intelligence in Action
Artificial Intelligence in Actionis a thematic day that is part of the Taulí Health Artificial Intelligence Week, and concludes a week dedicated to exploring, sharing and promoting the knowledge and application of artificial intelligence (AI) in the field of health.
As part of this conference, one of the AI research projects developed at Parc Taulí, highlighting both its scientific and technological approach and its potential impact on clinical practice. The main objective is to bring research closer to the healthcare and research community, encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration and showing real use cases that demonstrate how AI can contribute to improving decision-making, process efficiency and, ultimately, the quality of healthcare.
This conference represents a unique opportunity to learn how data and algorithms are translated into concrete solutions for clinical challenges, and to inspire new ideas and synergies between health professionals, researchers and technology developers.

Presentation
There is a growing interest in the use and development of AI systems applied to a variety of clinical use cases, especially considering the recent advances in the generation of massive language models. This conference will present the project BARITONE, an AI research initiative developed in Parc Taulí in collaboration with Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS). Its objective is to promote the digital transformation of healthcare through advanced exploitation of clinical data, facilitating the work of clinical, research and scientific staff in AI to improve patient care.
The meeting will bring together experts in clinical practice, AI and natural language processing (NLP) applied to the healthcare field. The most recent advances in recognition of named entities (NER), data integration and visualization, as well as yours specific application to research and the management of rheumatic diseases.
The event will combine technical sessions, practical use cases and discussion spaces on the impact of AI on health, data privacy and funding opportunities. It will also encourage the exchange of ideas and networking between professionals from the clinical, academic, technological and industrial fields.
