When starting to research it is important to know how to choose those sources of information that are of quality (impact, original, reliable…). From the CCSPT Library we recommend perform bibliographic searches on the main scientific databases (PubMed and Web of Science), as well as at our exclusive resources (catalog, Clinical Key and Medline Complete, among others).
Guides and manuals for use
Apart from all these guides and manuals, each provider of scientific journals and databases offers professional trainers to conduct face-to-face sessions on the use and functionalities of each of them.
The Library offers advice on choosing the magazine to publish. The main criteria to be followed are:
- Impact factor.
- Quartile
- Frequency.
- Number of articles per year.
- % rejection.
- Thematic.
- Type of reader.
It is also necessary to consider the regulations of each journal, which talk about extension, order of sections, pagination and bibliography. However, it is advisable, wherever possible, to publish in impact factor journals, ideally Quartile 1.
The Research and Innovation Department of Parc Taulí has one institutional affiliation regulations in order to identify, in a homogeneous way, all the scientific publications generated from any area of the Parc Taulí.
