About us

The research area of ​​Neuroscience and Mental Health is made up of a multidisciplinary group of neurologists, psychiatrists, psychologists, neuropsychologists, nurses, rehabilitation physicians, geneticists and other researchers at the Hospital and Fundació Parc Taulí, with the common interest of improving the knowledge and approach of neurological and psychiatric diseases.

At present, the scientific activity carried out in the area has been recognized with the Research Groups Support (SGR) by theAgency for Management of University and Research Grants (AGAUR) of the Generalitat de Catalunya of three of our research groups:

Targets

Our goal is translational and multidisciplinary research in various areas such as neurodegenerative diseases, schizophrenia, bipolar disorders, autism, depression, sleep pathology, epilepsy, neurovascular diseases, multiple sclerosis. and genetically based developmental diseases, in order to improve disease function and prevention. We also collaborate on different projects with the administration and research group of state and international, with the aim of developing ICT in order to improve the transfer of these results to patients and professionals.
