The specialized outpatient service provides care for people with mental disorders and addictions, which, due to their severity and complexity, require specific intervention, with varying degrees of intensity. It consists of different devices:
· Community Mental Health Centers (I and II): These are the basic outpatient services specializing in psychiatry and mental health and in collaboration with primary health care. They have expert multidisciplinary teams (medical psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, specialized nursing and social work), which have the functions of detection, diagnosis, treatment and comprehensive monitoring of care processes (affective, anxiety, psychosis ...).
· Addiction Care and Monitoring Center (CAS)
Adult Day Hospital - Ed. Santa Fe, ground floor, left wing
It is a center with 20 seats, which provides multidisciplinary care to patients with mental disorders and / or addictions that require intensive therapeutic and / or rehabilitative diurnal treatment, which can maintain links with the community and the family during the process therapeutic. Facilitates intensive and multidisciplinary treatment (psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, specialized nursing and social work) to achieve clinical stability and reintegration of the patient into their family and social environment, preventing disassociation and isolation. Generally, patients receive individual psychotherapy, psychopharmacological follow - up, a family care program, a pedagogical intervention, and a social worker intervention, in addition to group activities aimed at promoting social adaptation.
Psychiatric Hospitalization (Acute and Subacute) - Ed. Taulí, 7th floor
Hospital Detoxification Unit (UHD) - Ed. Taulí, 7th floor
It is a hospital facility integrated into the general emergency service, which provides immediate psychiatric care in acute situations where there is a serious psychopathological commitment with or without personal risks. Health care includes the comprehensive assessment and treatment, both of the psychiatric picture and of the associated organic complications that may be at risk for the patient.
The psychiatric emergency service is linked to the acute hospitalization service, and functionally different from the rest of the hospital services, to provide safe care to users.
Since the end of 2016, the Mental Health Crisis Intervention Team (EIC-SM) has been providing intensive and ongoing care for the most severe patients in order to reduce the need for admission.
