The specialty

Angiology and Vascular Surgery is a medical-surgical specialty dedicated to the study, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the pathology of the circulatory system, being excluded only from its competence the heart and intracranial arteries.

Service Description

The Angiology and Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Service of Parc Taulí carries out a global approach to vascular pathology, using both open and endovascular surgical treatments. As well as being responsible for non-invasive vascular diagnosis (Doppler ultrasound). He maintains a close relationship with other hospital services, such as Nephrology, Neurology, Endocrinology, and Interventional Radiology.

The MEF training program is based on the program developed by the National Specialty Commission, with the aim of providing the future specialist with extensive theoretical knowledge of vascular diseases and sufficient practical training to ensure adequate professional competence for vascular patient care.
