REACT-EU. Fostering crisis repair in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and its social consequences, and preparing for a green, digital and resilient recovery of the economy

It is planned to carry out actions in the areas of greatest care needs to adapt the services of the Surgical block, ICU, Emergency, Endoscopies and CQA Operating Room to the needs of the reference population. The action envisages the adaptation of the spaces by incorporating new technologies, the organization and growth of the areas, making the care management more efficient and increasing the response capacity of the health centers.

It is planned to increase by 5/6 operating rooms, practically doubling the structural capacity of critics, adapting it to the standards of needs of the care area, to respond to the growth and internal management of the Emergency Service, as well as doubling the number of endoscopy rooms.

Extension and equipment of the CQA building for the installation of a new operating theatre

On April 11, 2022, work will begin on the expansion of the CQA (Ambulatory Surgery Center) building for the installation and equipment of a new multipurpose operating theatre.

On October 17, 2022, work will begin on the extension and equipment of the Endoscopy service in the Taulí building. Given the increase in activity, the number of existing rooms will be expanded and the support and common spaces will be reorganized.

Expansion and equipment of the Central Surgical Block and the ICU

On January 9, 2023, work will begin to expand and equip the Central Surgical Block and the ICU.

The need to hire this service stems from the expansion and modernization project of the Parc Taulí Hospital in Sabadell that began in December 2016. This project, in its final stages, was interrupted by the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and, finally, the original project has been surpassed with the construction of a new multipurpose hospital building financed by the Catalan Health Service.

As a result, it was considered necessary to modify the initially planned destination through the drafting of a comprehensive project covering the reform of the Emergency Service, the expansion of the Central Surgical Block and the number of structural beds in the ICU, with the aim of strengthening the response capacity of the surgical activity center and improving attention to emergencies and critical patients, with an area of ​​action of approximately 15.000 m2.

Reinforcement of the capacity to respond to the crisis of the COVID-19 launched by the Consortium Corporació Sanitària Parc Taulí (CCSPT)

Catalonia and the member states of the European Union have been affected in a unique way by the consequences caused by the outbreak of COVID-19, which has caused a public health crisis with a huge impact on its economic growth.

The aim of this action is to promote all the necessary measures to face this crisis, contemplating all types of expenses related to the fight against the disease (including among others, expenses in medical equipment, test material, personal protective equipment, installation Reinforcement operations, hiring additional staff, R & D & I actions, ICT equipment and applications, etc.). The contribution of European funds, through the co-financing of expenditure included in this specific objective, will be of vital importance to address the dimensions of the health and socio-economic situation arising from the impact of the pandemic.

This project includes all those reinforcement measures put in place and / or planned in order to face the health crisis caused by COVID-19, and fundamentally those described below: in the face of the challenge posed by COVID and provide quality, efficiency and effectiveness services to the population as a whole, and within this task by providing an integrative, horizontal and patient-centered view of the care activity, it has invested in spice, equipment and monitoring. comprehensive non-invasive critical illness throughout the hospital.
