Antonio Armario, Professor of Physiology in the Department of Cell Biology and Physiology at the UAB and coordinator of the SGR group of Neurobiology of stress and vulnerability to psychopathology, will be the new guest at the Scientific Afternoons in mental health and translational neuroscience of the I3PT.
Dr. Armario will present the project "What is different in the processing of traumatic stressful stimuli by the CNS? A view from the paraventricular nucleus of the hypothalamus and the pituitary-adrenal axis. The rat is used as an experimental model and is tried to characterize behaviorally and biologically what distinguishes potential traumatic stressful stimuli from the most common.
