The Parc Taulí Dermatology Service collaborates with the ALBA Synchrotron in a skin cancer research project 150 150 Parc Taulí current affairs

The project is led by researcher Manel Sabés from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and studies the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer with synchrotron light. Parc Taulí researcher, Sílvia Gil, from the Dermatology Service, is taking part in this project together with the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona and the UAB.

In the following video, Manel Sabés and Sílvia Gil explain the advantages of synchrotron light for researching therapeutic strategies against skin cancer. Synchrotron light is a fundamental tool because the information obtained can be supplemented with laboratory results.
