The Directorate of Information Systems has delivered a total of 16 touch tablets to four areas of the Parc Taulí that provide home care - CAP Can Rull, PADES, Mental Health and Home Hospitalization -, as part of a project aimed at facilitating the task to those professionals who have to move outside their fields to perform their care work.
The tablets provided are convertible into laptops that can be securely connected over the Internet to the Clinical Workstation from outside the Corporation.
Until now, care teams traveling to visit patients at home did not have access to their electronic clinical information. This initiative will allow access to scans, analytics and all kinds of data from the clinical history updated in real time and, at the same time, record the clinical course, with the consequent advantages for the care function itself. Laptops enjoy dual autonomy, thanks to the battery of the tablet itself and the accessory keyboard, and access the network using 4G technology.
