The World Health Organization (WHO) has drawn up a document to establish the basis for correct hand hygiene worldwide to improve health. For the first time, Inmaculada Fernández Moreno, an expert nurse in this field, has participated in this document. The Parc Taulí professional is the only technical adviser in the Spanish state in the WHO research agenda for han hygiene in health care 2023-2030 program.
This text wants to be the reference document for all countries to develop the WHO agenda in hand hygiene worldwide to avoid infections and the resistance of micro-bacteria. As well as being the basis for building a culture of safety and quality in global health.
Inmaculada Fernández has highlighted the importance of the nurse's profile in this work group: "It is a recognition of the work, leadership and expertise of the nurses who are dedicated to the prevention and control of infections".
