Parc Taulí has provisionally enabled 2 beds for short-stay patients on the 20nd floor of the Frontal Gran Via. These beds have been located next to the space enabled for the Short Stay Emergency Unit, a unit that has left its usual location because it is being remodeled to improve the space for urgent care.
The space of the Gran Via Front, although it does not enjoy all the comfort standards of a conventional hospitalization plant, has all the health and technological guarantees that allow the hospital to continue with its ordinary activity without affecting the quality of care.
So far, although it has already surpassed the 100 patients admitted with SARS-COV2 infection, Parc Taulí has maintained all the surgical programming. The admission of short-stay patients in this space has been chosen to alleviate the inconveniences that an admission in an open space with shared toilets means for a patient. This location is temporary, as the floor and ceiling finishes and comfort aspects of the patients still need to be improved, and has been enabled in order to mitigate the impact of the pandemic.
In the coming days, some adjustments are expected to the non-urgent elective surgical programming that requires admission, in order to facilitate the deployment of the Contingency Plan that must anticipate the response of our hospital to the epidemiological situation in the country.
