The Parc Taulí contributes 100.000 euros to research and innovation projects of professionals of the institution

The overall endowment of the Taulí Scholarships 2015 is 106.000 euros, thanks to the extraordinary call of this year's edition: the M. Ramona Portero Award, with an endowment of 6.000 euros.
Dr. Celso Arango will give the keynote address at the 2015 Taulí Scholarship Awards Ceremony on Thursday, December 17, at the Taulí Auditorium.
The Taulí Auditorium will host next Thursday, December 17, at 13 p.m., the award ceremony of the Research Taulí Scholarships in its 17th edition. The lecture will be given by the Head of the Psychiatry Service of the General Hospital Gregorio Marañón and Scientific Director of the Networked Biomedical Research Center in the Mental Health Area of the Carlos III Institute of Health, Celso Arango. Dr. Arango will give the lecture 'The future of mental health: prevention, prevention and more prevention'.
In this 17th call, to which 96 projects are eligible, an endowment of € 106.000 is awarded
The award ceremony of the Taulí Scholarships, promoted by the Fundació Parc Taulí, is one of the most emblematic events of the Parc Taulí Health Corporation. The endowment accumulated since its creation is 1,5 million euros. These funds are generated by research and innovation developed by the institution's own professionals. In this 17th call, to which 96 projects are eligible, an endowment of € 106.000 is awarded, which will be used to provide grants to encourage initiation into research, for the evaluation and improvement of innovative healthcare processes, for the excellence in research, for innovation projects and for the best processes. They are also awarded to research initiation by medical students at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), of which Parc Taulí is the Teaching Unit.
In this year's edition, the awards ceremony for students was held in the framework of the celebration of the 1st Night of Science and Knowledge of Sabadell which took place on November 18 at the Municipal Theater La Faràndula. The winning projects were for Sofia Gamucci Jiménez de Parga for the project "Effectiveness of an e-neurocognitive module as an adjunct to functional rehabilitation for patients with bipolar disorder", being the main researcher Narcís Cardoner Álvarez. Two ex-aequo scholarships for Marina Lobaco Soler for the work “Usefulness of the determination of cortisol in saliva as a marker of secondary adrenal insufficiency in the pediatric population”, whose main researcher is Raquel Corripio Collado, and the other scholarship for Rita Guillamon Carandell for work "Study of the fragmentation and telomeric length of sperm DNA as parameters of recovery of seminal quality after microsurgical varicocelectomy in infertile patients with varicocele", sent the main researcher Naim Hannaoui Hadi.
As a novelty this year of the Taulí Scholarships 2015 we have an extraordinary call, the M. Ramona Portero Award, aimed at projects to improve the diagnosis, treatment or care of patients affected by various pathologies caused or related to polytrauma.
In the 17th call for Taulí Scholarships, all nursing doctors, graduates and graduates who are on staff or contract in the institutions of the Parc Taulí Health Corporation, doctors specializing in last and penultimate year training and students can apply of 4th, 5th or 6th year of Medicine at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
