The Parc Taulí contributes 100.000 euros to research and innovation projects of professionals of the institution

The Taulí Auditorium will host tomorrow, December 20 at 13 p.m., the act of delivery of the Research and Innovation Taulí Scholarships in its 18th edition. The master lecture will be in charge of the head of the HIV Unit of the Germans Trias i Pujol University Hospital in Badalona, director of the IrsiCaixa AIDS Research Institute, and one of the main references in AIDS research in Spain , Bonaventura Clotet. Dr. Clotet will give the lecture 'Can AIDS be cured?'
The award ceremony of the Taulí Scholarships, promoted by the Fundació Parc Taulí, is one of the most emblematic events of the Parc Taulí Health Corporation. The endowment accumulated since its creation is 1,6 million euros. These funds are generated by research and innovation developed by the institution's own professionals. In this 18th call, to which 74 projects opt, one is awarded endowment of € 100.000 which will be used to provide grants to encourage the initiation of research, to promote the research of groups of the Parc Taulí Research and Innovation Institute (I3PT), for the evaluation and improvement of innovative healthcare processes and for projects of innovation. They are also awarded to research initiation by medical students at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), of which Parc Taulí is the Teaching Unit, of which Parc Taulí is the Teaching Unit.
During tomorrow's event, the director of Research and Innovation of Parc Taulí, Lluís Blanch, will present the results of R & D & I of the last year, as well as the program 'Intensifications Banc Sabadell Foundation - Fundació Parc Taulí and ISCIII'. We will also learn, from the hand of its protagonists, the two works of students who in 2016 participated in research projects and were awarded, and two projects of professionals who have been awarded scholarships in previous editions.
In the 18th call for Taulí Scholarships, all nursing doctors, graduates and graduates who are on staff or contract in the institutions of the Parc Taulí Health Corporation, doctors specializing in last and penultimate year training and students can apply of 4th, 5th or 6th year of Medicine at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
