The Open Days will be held on Wednesday mornings, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., with prior reservation. Visits begin on February 15.
The Food Service of the Parc Taulí is launching an open day for the public with the aim of publicizing the operation of the hospital kitchen. Every Wednesday, for one hour, the head of the service, Encarnación Escudero, will accompany the visiting groups of up to 8 people, through the kitchen spaces and explain the management of the area and the process of preparing the food prepared for patients and professionals of the institution.
The Corporation's Food Service is made up of 72 professionals and prepares every day, from Monday to Sunday, every day of the year, an average of 2100 home-made meals, distributed between breakfasts, lunches and dinners for users, and more than 400 daily meals from professionals. It is a self-managed kitchen, made up of staff from Parc Taulí.
The kitchen of Parc Taulí, located in the basement of the building, opened new facilities in October 2014, with the reform and expansion of the spaces, with 1.546 square meters between kitchen and dining room.
