In the celebration of the World Day of Rare Diseases, held yesterday, the Management Committee of the Conference, composed of patient associations, the Catalan Federation of Rare Diseases, ERDF delegation Catalonia and the Platform for Rare Diseases, awarded the recognition to Dra. Forest for the dissemination of minority diseases and for the professional contribution to those affected.

The Conference was held at the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu in Barcelona and was attended by the director of the Center for Care for Women and Children, Pepi Rivera, in the panel discussion on the deployment of the model of care for minority diseases. Parc Taulí is part of the first network of units of clinical expertise (XUEC) in minority diseases in Catalonia, together with the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu in Barcelona and the Vall d'Hebron University Hospital.

During the event, the UAB professor and adviser to the Generalitat on Health, Miquel Vilardell, and the head of Paediatrics at the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital in Badalona, ​​Guillem Pintos, were also recognized.
