The Center for Child Development and Early Care (CDIAP) of Parc Taulí has renewed its website with new support content for families with children from 0 to 6 years who may have any difficulty in their development, as well as for professionals and for all agents involved in their care.
The CDIAP of Parc Taulí, which in 2021 cared for more than 2.200 children, is an expert center with a multidisciplinary team specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of children who show signs of risk or alterations in their neurodevelopment. Its priority objective is to promote the development and well-being of the child and his family, his personal autonomy and his integration / inclusion in his natural environment.
The new website, which can be visited at www.tauli.cat/hospital/cdiap, makes available to families and professionals many of the resources that were generated during the confinement of the beginning of the pandemic, in order to be able to maintain the attention of children electronically. However, many other contents have been updated and incorporated in the line of knowledge sharing.
The coordinator of the Parc Taulí CDIAP, Montserrat Torras, emphasizes that the aim of the new contents is to be a support tool for families in the personalized and face-to-face assistance they receive at the CDIAP, as well as for the rest of families with children from 0 to 6 years. However, the website is at the service of all professionals who are at the forefront of early childhood care in the fields of pediatrics, education and social services.
CDIAP speech therapist Noemí Llevadot, who is also responsible for coordinating this new website, highlights the space for therapeutic resources, where different activities, materials and guidelines are proposed to help children progress in those areas where they may have more difficulties (communication and language, psychomotor skills, social skills…). It also highlights the new space offered by existing information and resources once children are discharged from the CDIAP, as this can be a difficult time for many families.
The website has a What We Do section and a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section that can help families learn about and understand the complexity of the Early Care resource. In addition, a space has been created where families are the protagonists and where they can share their experience, as well as resources that have been useful in the therapeutic work with their children.
We invite you to visit it !!
