What is PICS?

Post Intensive Care Syndrome (PICS) is a set of symptoms that can appear after being admitted to the ICU for a few days. If they occur, these sequelae can be physical, emotional or affect their memory and / or attention.

Below you will find some explanatory videos about these possible sequels. Not all people experience these sequelae or experience them with the same duration and intensity. In most cases they will gradually disappear. However, if these symptoms persist or worsen over time, it is important that you contact a professional.
